Our style is romantic, elegant and timeless, marrying our love for both nature and fine art with a seasonal approach to every wedding.
Our focus on color palettes and vibe enables us to execute each and every wedding beautifully with fond memories that will last a lifetime.

Stem Floral takes no more than 20 weddings a year to ensure the quality and aesthetics of our brand remain flawless.
This also allows us the space and time to fully design a style that is unique and personal to each couple in a meaningful way.

In addition to florals we also provide rentals of candleware, vessels, as well as custom ceremony and reception structures.

How Far Do You Travel?

There are floral designers and then there are florists. There are retail flowershops who serve daily customers, holidays as well as the wedding season and there are private boutique style studios who only focus on the wedding and event industry. Majority of the time these are your florists who design on a very talented and high level of skill with weddings as well as the most sought after, like a fine piece of art. When booking a florist it's easy to be drawn to book based on the lowest quote, especially when you're on a tight budget. Word of advice, if you're strictly comparing prices, you will be setting yourself up for disappointment. We highly recommend taking a look at their portfolio to ensure the florist has the style you are drawn to. Floral designers like Stem Floral Studio specialize in weddings and take more of an artistic approach. Being a wedding florist is a labor intensive job which is why we only take on a select amount and why we only focus on weddings. We want to ensure our clients are getting the best since we base our styles on bespoke.

When Booking A Florist Keep This In Mind

Experienced professionals will tell you that many popular blooms are seasonal. Lets use peonies for a perfect example. Seasonally they are at their peak and most abundant from the end of April to the end of June. Yes, we see them later on through the summer which by that time they are shipped from Alaska. And of course you will see them again in the fall which by that time they will be coming from South America. Prices on shipping go up when not in season let alone they will visually look out of season often times not the way you imagine a gorgeous bloom looking. Lets use the following comparison. How do strawberries taste when they're in season? How's their color and texture? Now, how do strawberries taste in the middle of winter? How often are you picking through a batch of bland grocery bought strawberries because so many of them are mushy? With that said, we have a huge respect for the seasons and that comes with horticulture.
Yes the floral industry has come a long way over the past decades in regards to production however, there are certain things best not to be over promised and under delivered on and we will always stick to that.
The beauty of flowers is that there's a huge range of colors and varieties and there is always a similar substitution that will be absolutely gorgeous.

Is Every Variety Of Flower Available All Year Round?

Absolutely. We do not and will not discriminate against any person regardless of sexual orientation, nationality, gender identity, religion, race or age.

Do You Design Weddings For The LGBTQ?

Word of advice, trust the expert. Often times clients will come to us with several visions or no vision at all. Trust the expert to do what they do best, allow them to take your style and things that are important to you and bring your vision to life. When you trust the expert, beautiful results happen.

Do I Need To Know What My Vision Is Before A Consult?

Absolutely.  I recommend researching wedding florals and styles to get a good idea of what your vision and florals will look like cost wise.  There is not a one size fits all package, its all based on the season, your favorite flowers as well as guest count.  A good rule of thumb to go by is 20% of your overall budget should be set aside for flowers.

Do I need to have a budget established
 Prior to a consultation?

The logistics on the day of your wedding is exhausting and mind boggling. In the long run a wedding planner can help you save money by keeping you on a budget and cutting out items that aren't necessary, all while making your day look absolutely dreamy. A planner will make sure your day goes as seamlessly as possible as well as keeping vendors and your style cohesive. Wedding planners are known for making your big day aesthetic down to all the little details (those gorgeous table linens, yes please). I can't tell you how many times a couple had wished they hired a planner in hindsight, maybe their parents took the brunt of responsibility when one of the biggest milestones of their lives of watching their son or daughter get married was spent working rather than watching all the beautiful moments that are meant to be shared and cherished. Needing a referral to a planner? Don't hesitate to ask for a few names.

Do I Need To Hire A Wedding Planner?

You may be asking why I'm bringing this advice up but trust me on this one, not only as a floral designer but as an artist I cannot tell you how heartbreaking it is to see a couple devastated to find that hardly an image their photographer captured was worth being framed. Without a photographer who has developed an amazing eye, and the understanding and ability to work in different light settings, all those special moments are lost and thats sad. Not only invest in a good photographer but make sure you hire one that captures your style (some are classic, some are light and airy as well as other photographers have a moody style. Don't hesitate to ask us for a referral.

"Carrie was wonderful! I highly recommend her, not only was everything beautiful, her service is five stars! Her style is elegant, tasteful, and unique.

During Covid we had to make several changes only a couple of weeks in advanced, Carrie was so obliging and flexible. She helped make things less stressful during a stressful time. Though our wedding did not appear or go the way it was originally planned, it was perfect! You will not regret it!"
